Ex Academy players in Lions Currie Cup

Andries Boeboes Coetzee will be on the bench for the Lions senior Currie Cup side against Leopards today.

Boeboes started he rise on the rugby stage with the Blue Bulls Rugby Academy, was picked for the Tuks 1 side in the Carlton league, excelled to the Tuks 1 Varsity Cup where the Lions spotted him and offered him a contract.

The Academy started today and the 2nd year group was welcomed back by a skills session that tested their fitness and endurance after the break. I was well surprised with the energy flowing and it was a fantastic enjoyable session. Nice to coach if the guys are lus to train,

Puma U/21 vs Falcons U/21 friendly game

The Pumas U/21 and Falcons U/21 Currie Cup sides met on Saturday the 10 th of July 2011 for there preparation for 2011 Currie Cup. Our boys has a strong contingency and representation in both sides.

The Falcons beat the Pumas 26-20 but it was a close affair. If I look at the result for the Falcons it is a concern for their aspirations to compete in the A section.

We are very proud of our boys, go manne
